Our experience with Priority One did not start well, and for a few years the relationship was quite rocky. We started with a poorly done install that made our walls rattle, to a tech standing on and denting the unit when fixing the wall-rattling problem, to techs not knowing how our unit functions (it is a Carrier--the brand suggested to us by their salesman), to a slow leak in the system. We had given up on this company, using others for basic maintenance, but decided to give Priority One another chance since our unit was still under warranty with them. It is my belief that we would never go back to them again if it were not for Jim Purcell. He came out and saw what had transpired, and took it upon himself to make right what had been going wrong for a few years. He made sure the records of all the visits were logged and in one location, he fixed the leak in the system, and, most importantly, worked very hard to restore our faith in Priority One. I can't say whether Jim has fully restored our trust in the company, but we know there is at least one person there that we can count on. Wherever Jim goes, so goes our business!

Priority One has been our service provider of choice since 2012 and have provided us with excellent service. All of the service techs that have serviced our HVAC unit have been both personable and knowledgable. We have participated in their service plan which has kept our HVAC unit in good condition (built in 1993) and running smoothly. The last service tech to visit us, Dylan, did a great job of informing us of the general operating performance of our unit and found that our "quick start" that assists the compressor in the heat pump had malfunctioned and because we are a service plan participant replaced it under warrantee.

We were new to having a heat pump and signed up for the Savings Club to be sure we kept up on routine maintenance. We have worked with Jim almost the entire time. He is great to work with, friendly and provides thorough answers to my questions. I have always felt that he is honest with recommendations of what our system needs, along with providing an estimate of when we should plan to replace/update certain components. I was pleasantly surprised to get a same day same day appointment before noon and the tech showed up on time and was very professional. I had a good idea what the problem was and told him what the symptoms were. He checked and I was correct. The fan capacitor was dead. When he confirmed the problem he said it will be $160 ish. I said go ahead and get me up and running. He finished the repair and checked the ambient temperature swing and my system was good to go. He went to the van to do the paperwork and when he came back he says that will be $240. I should have asked him why the $80. Increase for the job he quoted me $160. but I didn’t say anything. I feel I was mislead and/or lied to. I asked him what the part cost so I would have known the labor charge and he said I’m not sure, it’s all flat rate. Flat rate tell you how long it should take you to fix the particular problem and then you add for parts. He side stepped the question thinking I was naive which he knew I was a RV Tech for many years and know how flat rate works. Very disappointed knowing I need to find another HVAC company to work on my system when the need arises.

My unit stopped working on 7/5 and I phoned Priority One on the morning of 7/6. They were very busy because of the 117 degree forecast. They said they would try their hardest to get out the same day. That afternoon Jhonatan came by my condo. I wasn't home because I was at Home Depot buying a portable air conditioning unit.....so ironic. I noticed a message from him when I got back to car. He said he had moved on to another job but would swing back by my place when he finished that job. He showed up as promised, explained everything to me, calmed me down, fixed my unit and away he went on to the next job. I can't say enough about Jhonatan. In spite of the heat and busy schedule, he was wonderful! Priority One is so fortunate to have such an excellent representative for their company! Guess who is going to Home Depot to return a portable air conditioning unit today!

Justin & Bobby came out to do maintenance on my heat pump. Answered all my questions and programmed my thermostat to automatically go from heat to cold, which is a real Plus especially in the summer. I had a new heat pump installed in January 2016 and told them there was low air coming up in one side of the house they didn't do anything. Justin and Bobby got right on it told me what was wrong and how to fix it and we're going to do that but before they left more air was coming out of the one side of the house. Those two guys were on the job and I was the most important thing to them at that time.
I appreciate everything about this company.... from start to finish, all the Priority One folks I've met or talked with on the phone have been kind, friendly, and helpful - and I LOVE my ductless heat pump! It keeps my house much more comfortable than it was before, and it is definitely saving me money. I highly recommend Priority One!!!
We just had scheduled maintenance on our ductless heat pump which coincidentally quit working a couple of days ago. Justin quickly identified, explained and corrected the problem; and cleaned and tuned up all the equipment. We’re always happy with Priority One’s friendly and competent staff. Priority One installed a water heater for us back in 2014. I thought their price was a bit high, but their staff were pleasant and I continued to patron them for various HVAC maintenance needs. Recently our water heater started leaking, and I called in the early morning (Wed.) asking about its warranty and getting a tech to come out. The representative confirmed the date of the purchase and install from their records and said a tech would call me, which didn't happen. I called again at mid-day, but this time a different representative couldn't find any record of the purchase and said she'd look into it and call me back, which didn't happen. I called the next day (Thurs.) and spoke with Janna, who said she'd follow up and figure out what was going on. She called back later saying they were trying to get a tech scheduled late that afternoon. Later she called saying that it looked like the tech may not complete the current job until later, so Janna booked the first appointment the next day for us just to be safe. The next day (Fri.) a tech showed up, confirmed the leak was inside the tank and that the tank was under warranty, but not labor. He advised me to consider turning the hot water off because the tank could crack altogether and that by judging their call-load, he said they could probably replace it Mon or Tuesday of the following week. I contact the service manager, John, asking if this could be escalated, because if a tech had made it out Wed. or Thursday, we might not have needed to wait until the following week, and that I had 2 kids with soccer practice and games this weekend, so we needed hot water. John was fantastic in my opinion; He was honest saying that they were short staffed and stretched thin, but acknowledged this was important. He didn't promise anything except that he'd get with the staff, figure out what the manufacturer needs regarding exchanging it, etc. and come up with a plan of action. He called back a short while later and indicated they'd have someone come and collect the tank that day and replace it in the morning. I indicated that was fine.However, I don't think John was satisfied with that. John continued to try and figure out a better solution and arranged for a tech to come in on their day off just to help exchange the old unit and install the new one. So instead of waiting until the next day, they actually got it installed the same day. On top of that, I believe they were a little generous regarding the labor they charged. When everything was done, John asked me to walk through my experience from the beginning so he could identify training opportunities to improve the experience for other customers.I was a little frustrated the first couple of days regarding no call backs, not being able to find records, etc. I was ready to contact a competitor who'd been recommended to me. But John's response was top notch and has earned my continued loyalty. I highly recommend others try Priority One out.
Thank you Priority One Heating and Air Conditioning for saving us from this miserable heat and humidity. We came home from vacation to be treated to a dead AC unit. They were here within 30 minutes and we are up and running again!
Our heat pump outside unit got backed into (not by me). When I called Priority One they scheduled an inspection the same day. Another company told me they could check it at the end of July!!! Within 2 weeks we have a new unit. Everyone we worked with was amazing. Can't say enough good things about this company. Thank you!!!
We've been loyal customers ever since our old heat pump started failing and Mark came out on a very cold Sunday morning to get it going for us. We've since replaced it with a new system that works great and pay just $15 a month for regular maintenance visits, which seems very reasonable. We've had a number of different techs through the years and some are better than others.
